mollie's mission

WELCOME TO MOLLIE'S MISSION
Keep up to date with Mollie's journey at http://blog.g-comm.net/mollie/

For many years it has been one of Stephen’s ambitions to drive down Africa. At last he is able to see this fulfilled. He has spent his working life, initially with BT, then in security as MD of his own company. However he is able to ‘turn his hand’ to most things and has undertaken the plumbing, electrical and mechanical works to do with the trip.
Hester, now a retired medic, is looking forward to going with him and will be responsible for the food, health and communication during the trip.
We aim to set off on 7 July and en route plan to visit several mission stations and offer whatever practical/medical help we can in the time we have, hence, our mission.

Hester and Stephen

We are funding the trip ourselves, but thought it would be a great opportunity to raise money for several children’s projects we support:-
F.A.M.E., orphanage, Kenya -
http://www.fame.uk.net
Ballkajoni, orphan feeding centre, Malawi
Kedesh, boys home, Mozambique -
http://www.kedeshmozambique.com
Nelson Mandela Children’s Fund SA -

You can donate to these charities by send a cheque (made payable to 'Mollie's Mission') to:

The route will take Stephen and Hester through 13 African countries. Here is the planned route to get Mollie from Castledawson through Africa.

Ferry crossings have been booked (apart from Egypt to Sudan) and the route sorted as far as is possible!
1. Dublin - Holyhead, 7th July
2. Dover - Calais, 8th July
3. Palermo - Tunis, 22nd July  - after this it gets harder to predict!
